Great Gun, Excellent craftsmanship

I bought the Classic 5" first, I was impressed. Went back and ordered the Bobcut. I am 70 and know a 1911. I am impressed with both my 1911's from Metro Arms.
Excellent Value

We love this gun! All the features of a high-priced model but at a reasonable price, and that action is SO smooth! Unboxing can be seen here:

I bought one of these fine Pistols about a month ago. It took about a month for me to hit the range, so I cleaned the heck out of it, then put my Frog Lube on it. Finally got time to go to the range. 200+ rounds later, love, love this gun!!! It's a shooter right out of the box!! For all the standard features it is great. I did change out the grips for some VZ G-10 and put a Wilson extended mag release, and standard slide safety,(personal preference). Not one Hiccup!! Ran Federal white box range ammo, using Metro arms, Armscor, and Wilson Combat mags. There is, as far as my opinion goes, to never spend $1000.00 plus on any other 1911. I will be buying more Metro arms pistols in the future!!
Wonderful Pistol at any price

Ordered this hard chrome Bobcut to be my practice piece to work on my gunsmithing skills. When I got this firearm I found that it was to nice of a gun to mess with. Thought that it being such a low cost firearm, for what you got, other guns cost twice as much with all the upgrades on this pistol. I will replace mim parts as I go, replace FLGR with gi standard and the ambi safety with single side. Not a fan of the grips so I changed them with take offs form my Springfield Armory Trophy Match. Really, really like this pistol, the Bobcut just seems to fit my hand and improves my shooting.
